This prestigious project is within the prime south-east corner of Kuala Lumpur Sentral and will be the site of the CIMB Investment Group's headquarters. The design of this building includes traditional Islamic elements to create a resilient, timeless image of strength and confidence.

Lafarge Concrete Malaysia (LCM) was awarded the supply of 20,000 m3 of mass concrete which was completed in 4 months. This project required temperature control for fresh concrete at the site to be below 30'C with a maximum peak temperature of 75'C. The addition of ice in the fresh concrete and the use of Mascrete Low Heat cement were utilised to achieve the required specifications. A new record was achieved by LCM when 4,746 m3 of concrete was supplied continuously for one of the raft foundation pours within a 30 hour period.

Lafarge Aggregates (LASB) supplied all of the 20 mm concrete stone to LCM for this project which required a constant supply of consistent quality product. LASB is currently supplying crusher run and manufactured sand (estimated 15,000 tonnes) to the same project for the construction of the access road and bridge connecting the main highway to KL Sentral.

Lafarge Aggregates (Pantai Remis Quarry) was the sole supplier of aggregates for this project over a period of 2 years (from August 2006 to September 2008) with a total supply of 75,000 tonnes ballast for rehabilitation works and 1,000 tonnes of crusher run on associated works. On-time deliveries, materials of consistent quality and excellent communication were vital for this project and Lafarge Aggregates was able to achieve all the criteria for this project. The team at the Pantai Remis quarry was totally committed to serve our customer to make this project a success.

MEX is the main expressway network in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The 26km Maju Expressway (MEX) links the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, to three prominent locations of the country, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The MEX opened its "doors" on schedule to road users on 13 December 2007. This expressway provides the shortest direct access to the Federal Government Administrative Centre, Multimedia Super Corridor and international airport.

Lafarge Aggregates was awarded with various packages to supply aggregates for a 2-year duration period from 2006-2007. Products supplied included 20 mm concrete stone to Lafarge Concrete Malaysia and crusher run for the road works.

The expansion of Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, and the KLIA together with this new major expressway will in turn stimulate further commercial and residential developments in the southern corridor of the Klang Valley.

Lafarge Aggregates (Nilai Quarry) has been supplying aggregates for this project since 2011 for a total requirement of about 600,000 tonnes of 20mm aggregates to support Lafarge Concrete Malaysia (LCM), the sole ready-mixed concrete supplier of this prestigious project.
