Cement Made For Life

Lafarge Malayan Cement is the first cement company in Malaysia to have two of its cement products awarded the Green Label certification by the Singapore Environment Council.  The two cement products are the innovative and eco-friendly Mascrete LH and Phoenix which are manufactured using pulverized fuel ash (fly ash), a by-product of coal fired power stations.

Innovation is a key part of Lafarge’s identity with more than 50% of R&D budget dedicated to sustainable construction.  Lafarge has been working on numerous programmes to reduce the environmental footprint, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions, saving energy, careful use of raw materials and optimising management of water resources during product manufacturing and construction.

Lafarge Malayan Cement is able to offer products to meet its customers’ requirements and at the same time, developing technological breakthroughs in reducing CO2  footprint in cement applications.  The Green Label certification is a milestone in Lafarge Malayan Cement’s journey to reduce its carbon footprint.
